DiTerra

Spotted Turquoise Bowl, Stoneware
"Thank you for visiting my shop! Please let me know if you have any questions, I'd love to hear from you. Every individual piece is unique. I make my work on a potter's wheel, therefore, each piece begins it's journey as a chunk of clay and is then transformed into the desired shape. Then, the piece is trimmed, bisque fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired again. All pieces are food safe, microwaveable, and dishwasher safe (Although it's always best to wash by hand!). All pieces are fired at Cone 10 for maximum durability and vitality, they will last for years and years to come! I am an artist living in Minneapolis, MN. I enjoy everything creative! I am a painter, photographer, graphic designer, knitter, (soon-to-be sewer!), and of course, a potter! I hate sitting still. I get bored pretty fast when I'm not working with my hands, creating things, or dreaming up new ideas. I enjoy pottery because of it's calming affect, I love sitting at the potter's wheel and watching the clay transform into something new. Pottery is so cool because you start the process with a block of clay and finish with a beautiful and functional piece of art. I especially love decorating and glazing my pieces. It's always fun experimenting with different glazes and slips (liquid clay applied like paint) because you never really know how it's going to come out of the kiln! Every time I get a new batch of pieces done, it's like opening presents at Christmas. I'm always excited to see what unfolds. I'm also a wedding photographer. If you're getting married and need a photographer, check out my website at www.CameraLovePhotography.com."
